Not Booking Discovery Calls? 

Are you banging your head against the wall wondering why nobody is booking up your calendar with Discovery calls? 

 We have spent so much time and money and resources into our training to be a coach to help transform the world and we know we can get our clients awesome results.

 But why are we gaining no traction, no interest in what we do?  OK we might get a trickle of interest at super low prices but we need to be charging High Ticket prices and pulling in clients consistently so why is nobody booking up the calendar slots?

 More often than not, the reason is because people do not get what you do!

You’re not being specific enough or spelling it out enough.  

It is all easy to say “hey I help people who have been through trauma create a happier future” or “I help women build confidence to lead a fulfilling life” or “ I helped stressed out entrepreneurs create calm in their lives”.

But the problem is, is that the result you’re promising people is not really tangible or it doesn’t really mean anything.

I’ve given three examples of clients I work with and their niches and how I help them go from a general “appeal to no-one” to a bullseye crystal clear marketing message.

Niche 1 – SOBER Niche 

My client started off helping anybody and everybody cut back or quit their alcohol consumption.  He found he was attracting people who didn’t have any money, weren’t really serious about quitting and were just time wasters. He was very disheartened. 

I helped him hone down his niche to people who had a real “hair on fire” booze problem;  he himself was a male business owner who had drank heavily and out of control and went through depression and he himself had contemplated suicide.

So we niched down to this ideal client; a male business owner whose alcohol consumption was just about to cost him his wife, his business and maybe even his kids because of the heavy obsessive drinking.  My client knew how to resonate with this niche as he had been there himself.

He knew their problems, their issues, he knew the language they spoke, he knew the feelings they felt and the desperation and despair they felt. He could TALK to THEM.Speak their language.

 

 

Niche 2 – Burnt and Stressed Out Niche

My client started off helping stressed out people maintain calm.  She was gaining no traction as nobody was engaging with her posts or her videos and after a year obsessively trying to get clients she was just about to quit.

She herself had been through complete burnout where she had to quit her corporate job and had to take a whole year out regaining her strength. She had tried so many tools and techniques such as meditation, NLP & hypnosis and it just became a battle trying to recover as she was obsessive about all these tools. Which led to MORE stress.

These tools and techniques were doing more damage than good as she was becoming obsessive and she became distressed as she felt committed to trying to use these tools and techniques everyday without fail.

We honed her niche down to women who ran businesses and felt on the verge of breakdown & despair trying to maintain their business, their children and their relationship. None of the elements in their life was happy or balanced.

They had tried self development techniques but just couldn’t implement them – they had not worked for them.They felt literally a few weeks away from crashing and burning.  

She promised them a way of gaining back calm and control and BALANCE into their lives without using meditation, NLP and whole bunch of other techniques.

The reason this niche worked for her is because she had been there, she understood these women, understood their issues and their pains and their emotions and she could talk their language.

 

Niche 3 – Recovering from trauma niche

My client started off helping anybody who had been through “a trauma” and help them create a “compelling future”.  She was not getting any interest online at all as she was talking to EVERYONE (we have all been through some trauma!) and what on EARTH is a Compelling Future? 

A Compelling future to one person could be totally different to that of another person. A compelling future to Person 1 could be a happy marriage they are seeking, to another it could be a business they are wanting to get success in,  to another it could be having a child they have tried for for so long…

I told her that a trauma in someones life could be a car accident, the death of a family member, losing a job, marriage breakup, abuse as a child – SO many traumas out there! So which trauma does she help? 

We honed her niche down to Helping those HEAL from an abusive trauma to go on and have a Happy and Healthy Relationship.

 

Her ideal client is now those who have been abused as a child or in a previous relationship (physically or emotionally) and they now struggle to to put their trust in another person OR they have no confidence in themselves to go out and find a new relationship. They feel unworthy.

The result she promises is allowing them to be totally healed from all this past abusive trauma and finding a beautiful and lasting and trusting relationship where all their “self worth”issues have gone.

 

I sincerely hope this makes you think about your niche and who you want to help and what result you will promise your clients.  if you hone into a specific person you WILL gain traction online and gain interest and engagement in what you do!
